We have been having so much fun this year - and it’s hard to believe that June was our busiest month yet! Pro wrestlers, an unexpected kid takeover and more dreams come true, of course. Keep reading to check out some of incredibly fun things we got up to this month.
Stop The Presses: Kids Take Over The Winnipeg Free Press
You read that right! On June 12th, a group of local kids took over the Winnipeg Free Press to help raise awareness of The Dream Factory and make the news more fun. Paddles Up! Dragon Boat Season is Here
June 7th, 8th, and 9th marked the start of the 2019 Dragon Boat Season with the River City Dragon Boat Festival and the Manitoba School Dragon Boat Challenge - both proudly presented by Firma Foreign Exchange. Our community came together to raise nearly $65,000 to make more dreams come true right here in Manitoba
Our sincere appreciation goes to our top fundraising teams - Karmyn’s Sushi Krew, a brand new team that raised a remarkable $13,000 and the Hot Splashes, who raised nearly $9,000. Thank you for your tremendous support!

Dream Kid Dream Meets Her Wrestling Hero
We’ve known for a while that Dream Kid Drea is a bit of a wrestling super fan. To celebrate her 6th birthday this month, we arranged a very special surprise meet and greet with one of her favourite WWE wrestlers, Alexa Bliss. Check out the adorable video below - that smile is everything!

Gracie’s Dream Come True
This month, we were so excited that Gracie’s dream came true! Gracie and her family visited Walt Disney World and had a wonderful time. They met all of their favourite princesses and Gracie received a very special princess makeover at the one of a kind Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique!

Tons Of Fun In The Community!
We were very lucky to participate in some super exciting events and activities this month! Here’s a few of the highlights:
Our new friends at Sushi Cushi wanted to help bring Karmyn’s dream to life. For the month of June their California Roll became the “Karmyn Roll” and a portion of all the proceeds helped to support The Dream Factory
We also got to hang out with the amazing folks at the Steinbach Realtors Golf Tournament. They were raising funds for one of our Steinbach-based Dream Kids, Jaxx - who was on hand to be a part of the fun (AKA - drive the golf cart!).
Finally, our friends at the Manitoba Restaurant and Foodservices Association planned a wonderful Hospitality Night evening at the Winnipeg Blue Bombers home opener. A portion of every ticket sold helped to make Karmyn’s dream come true!
